Abstract

BOEM announces its intent to prepare a PEIS (the 2024 Gulf of Mexico Regional Oil and Gas Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement [2024 GOM PEIS]) to analyze the potential impacts of oil and gas leasing and the potential associated site and activity-specific OCS oil- and gas-related activities from a representative single lease sale in the Western, Central, and Eastern Planning Areas of the GOM. This NOI announces the scoping process BOEM will use to identify significant issues and potential alternatives for consideration in the 2024 GOM PEIS, request for comments
