Abstract
In the Insecticide Strategy, EPA committed to developing a process to qualify conservation programs whose participants achieve the maximum number of points that any pesticide label could require (9 points). The Agency aims to recognize and give credit to growers enrolled in a conservation program and have implemented practices consistent with the program, if that program either directly or indirectly helps growers to achieve at least 9 points, including geographic points, on all fields under cultivation. Additionally, the Agency also aims to recognize that professional organizations well-versed in runoff/erosion reduction measures and EPA’s Strategies who advise growers on these measures, can tally points achieved on a field, a service that would reduce the burden on the landowner or grower
