Abstract

EPA is designating D-gluconic acid, calcium salt (2:1) (CASRN 299-28-5), common name calcium gluconate, as a low-priority substance. As required under section 6(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) implementing regulations, EPA is designating 20 chemical substances as low-priority substances for which risk evaluation is not warranted at this time. The document in this docket provides a summary of the approach, analysis, and basis for the proposed designation of D-gluconic acid, calcium salt (2:1) as a low-priority substance.
