Abstract

EPA is designating tetracosane, 2,6,10,15,19,23-hexamethyl- (CASRN 111-01-3), common name squalane, as a low-priority substance. As required under section 6(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) implementing regulations, EPA is designating 20 chemical substances as low-priority substances for which risk evaluation is not warranted at this time. The document in this docket provides a summary of the approach, analysis, and basis for the final designation of tetracosane, 2,6,10,15,19,23-hexamethyl- as a low-priority substance.
