Abstract

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have released a Draft Management Plan and Environmental Assessment for the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument for public review and comment. Comments will be accepted until Thursday, October 26, 2023. The Service and NOAA jointly developed the Draft Management Plan to guide the work of the Monument for the next 15 years and provide a framework for stewardship and management of this special place. To submit comments electronically, click the "Comment Now!" button. Comments can also be mailed to: Superintendent, Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 300 Westgate Center Drive, Hadley, MA, 01035. The Service and NOAA will be hosting several public meetings (in-person and virtual) during the public comment period. You can provide your comments verbally at any of these meetings.
