Abstract
Since 2008, fatalities resulting from accidents involving power haulage equipment (e.g., bull dozers, front-end loaders, trucks, excavators, and drills) have increased in coal and metal and nonmetal mines. MSHA is requesting data and information on technologies such as collision warning, proximity detection systems, seat belt starter interlock systems, and other technologies that can reduce accidents involving power haulage equipment.
