Abstract

The Judicial Conference Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules has proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and Forms, and requested that the proposals be circulated to the bench, bar, and public for comment. On August 15, 2014, the public comment period opens for the proposed amendments to Appellate Rules 4, 5, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28.1, 29, 32, 35, and 40, and Forms 1, 5, 6, and New Form 7. The public comment period closes on February 17, 2015. NOTICE: The public hearing on the proposed amendments to the Appellate Rules and Forms previously scheduled in Washington, D.C. for February 17, 2015, was canceled due to weather conditions and rescheduled to March 6, 2015. The March 6, 2015 public hearing was also canceled due to weather conditions and rescheduled to April 1, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. in the Mecham Center of the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, One Columbus Circle, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20544.
