AIA respectfully requests that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) extend the comment period for this matter for a period of thirty (30) days (until 03 February 2016) to permit industry to complete its review of this matter and to provide more complete and substantive comments. The limited time period available to comment on this matter is insufficient for the industry to develop and consolidate meaningful comments that are designed to assist the FAA in this matter and to develop an effective approach to lithium battery installations in both current and future designs.
