Abstract

This rulemaking would amend Part 40 to harmonize the DOT regulation with relevant changes that HHS is making in its Mandatory Guidelines. This rulemaking would remove the requirement on regulated employers to test “blind” urine specimens, eliminating an unnecessary burden. The rulemaking also makes minor corrections and clarifications to Part 40.
