Subject: B737 Classics - Elevator Tab Control Rod Assemblies ¿ Proposed Rule Ladies/Gentlemen: FAA has proposed adoption of a new AD for all Boeing 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. This proposed AD would require repetitive inspections for discrepancies of the elevator tab control rod assemblies and/or damage to the surrounding structure, and related corrective action. ATA appreciates the opportunity to comment on this proposed rule. Our members generally support the intent of the rulemaking; however, additional review and clarification would be desirable on the attached comment. Specifically: ¿The proposed inspection action is acceptable provided there are adequate parts available for replacement when discrepancies are discovered. Your serious consideration of this observation comment would be greatly appreciated
