What Air Transport Association filed (1)

Feb 25, 2005· Air Transport Association (ATA)· FAA-2005-20034-0007

The Air Transport Association (ATA) submits the attached comment received from its member air carrier, Northwest Airlines (NWA). This comment expresses concern with proposal to require repetitive inspection of pitot tube drain holes every 650 flight hours. Furthermore. NWA submits that its own findings with a 2,000 flight hour repetitive inspection, in place since 1999, do not substantiate this severe interval de-escalation; and in fact, support NWA's 2,000 flight hour interval.
