I fully support the petitioners position and urge that the airspace to and from the "DC3" airports be reopened to all traffic, not just based aircraft. It is widely known that these small airports survive on the profits earned from fuel sale and transient parking fees. Without the ability to earn these monies these airports are going to have to close. College Park airport is of historical significance. Closing that field should not be an option. Potomac and Hyde fields supports many businesses and governmental operations as they are the closest fields available to most small privately owned plane owners conducting business in the Washington DC, Alexandria and Arlington areas. Flying into fields further out adds to lost time and higher cost associated with transportation related loses.
