The EPA's proposal to assign letter grades to vehicles based on their fuel economy is UNNECESSARY!

When looking to buy a new auto, most car owners may want to weigh up factors like safety, reliability, cost, towing capacity and cargo room, in addition to fuel economy. The letter grading should include these factors as well as fuel economy.

Abstract

EPA is responsible for developing the fuel economy labels that are posted on window stickers of all new light duty cars and trucks sold in the US. This action will amend the way in which fuel economy estimates are calculated and/or displayed.
