On behalf of the members of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Inc., the attached letter responds to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Information Collection notice and request for comment on the collection of motor vehicle crash data under the Crash Investigation Sampling System (OMB Control Number: 2127-0706). The Alliance appreciates the agency's consideration of these comments, will submit supplemental comments after reviewing the first batch of cases pending release, and would be pleased to provide any additional information if needed.
