On behalf of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a non-profit professional organization of more than 67,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, I write to submit comments related to the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) interim final rule related to Occupational Exposure to COVID-19 in Healthcare Settings in the attached PDF.

more than 67,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric
surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children,
adolescents, and young adults, I write to express concerns related to the U.S. Department of
Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) COVID-19 Healthcare emergency
temporary standard (ETS), and to request a delay in the compliance deadline in order to reduce the
unintended impact of this rule, which is a likely decrease in access to care
for children.
