The American Apparel & Footwear Association -- the national trade association representing apparel, footwear and other sewn products companies and their suppliers -- strongly opposes Resolution 502 - Low Density Cargo. This resolution amounts to a 20 percent rate increase, which is unjustified (given the economic climate in which our members compete), is contrary to public interest, and is counter productive to national economic stimulus efforts.
