The Chlorine Chemistry Division of the American Chemistry Council is pleased to comment on the revised risk assessment for dioxin and furan micro-contaminants formed during the manufacture of pentachlorophenol, a restricted use pesticide that is undergoing reregistration. The United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Pesticide Programs announced the availability of this risk assessment, as well as other documents related to pentachlorophenol's reregistration eligibility decision, on April 16, 2008.
