Dear Sir or Madam: The Nanotechnology Panel (Panel) of the American Chemistry Council submits these comments on the Petition for Rulemaking (Petition) filed with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Stephen L. Johnson by the International Center for Technology Assessment (ICTA) on May 1, 2008. The Panel consists of companies that are engaged in the manufacture, distribution, and/or use of chemicals that have applications in the products of nanotechnology. The Panel recognizes the importance of the issues the ICTA has asked EPA to consider, and welcomes this opportunity to provide comment.
