The American Chemistry Council partnered with Insight Exposure and Risk Sciences Group to develop a Framework for Evaluating EPA's Exposure Assessments Performed as Part of TSCA Risk Evaluations. That framework has been applied to the formaldehyde risk evaluation to generate separate reports on the Inhalation Exposure Assessment and the Dermal Exposure Assessment. Those three documents are attached.

See attached for additional scientific and legal comments on EPA's December 26, 2023 Federal Register solicitation of nominees and forthcoming peer review including an ad hoc Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals (SACC) review of its draft risk evaluation of formaldehyde. This letter identifies key issues for the forthcoming peer review and includes several recommendations, including critical charge questions, to ensure a robust, independent peer review process consistent with TSCA, FIFRA, FACA, and EPA policies and guidance.
