We thank you for the opportunity to comment on the FHWA Request for Information as the Administration develops guidance for EV charging infrastructure deployment. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with you as we continue work on transportation materials science, including lightweighting vehicles, deploying advanced propulsion charging stations, improving safety, and advancing fuel economy with plastics and polymer composite solutions. Abstract

The recently enacted Bipartisan Infrastructure Law invests in the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure as one of many important ways to confront the climate crisis. The law directs DOT, in coordination with the Department of Energy (DOE), to develop guidance for States and localities to strategically deploy electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
