Abstract
EPA is holding stakeholder workshops to learn more about paint and coating removal in furniture refinishing, foreseeable impacts of any proposed regulations on methylene chloride, and alternatives to methylene chloride. These workshops will focus on current practices related to methylene chloride for paint and coating removal in commercial furniture refinishing; any substitute chemicals or alternative methods currently in use or under development; and current and best practices related to worker protection and exposure reduction.
