Abstract

To ensure that all interested stakeholders have a common understanding of the nature of background ozone and how it could be accounted for in implementing the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards, EPA developed a white paper on background ozone which was released on December 15, 2015. As part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to engage with states, tribes and stakeholders on implementation of the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards, EPA held a two-day workshop on February 24 and 25, 2016, in Phoenix, Arizona. EPA is accepting feedback on the white paper, questions identified in the white paper for further discussion, and the stakeholder workshop.
