Abstract
In 2012 EPA amended the 1999 National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) under Clean Air Act section 112 for the oil and natural gas sector. EPA received petitions for reconsideration of aspects of the final 2012 rule. In this action, EPA will address a series of provisions of the 2012 RTR rule under reconsideration. In addition, EPA will conduct a technology review, which is required every eight years under the Clean Air Act. Under a consent decree signed and entered on April 17, 2023, the EPA Administrator will sign a proposed rule by December 10 of 2025.
