American Petroleum Institute comments on Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants Under the Clean Water Act, 75 FR 58024, September 23, 2010.

Abstract

This docket contains documents related to the proposal to amend "Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants; Analysis and Sampling Procedures" at 40 CFR parts 136, 423, 430, and 435. This regulatory action is a proposal to approve test procedures (analytical methods) for use by testing laboratories for clean water monitoring. These analytical methods are used to implement the NPDES program unless an alternate procedure is approved by a Regional Administrator. The proposed regulation would also revise, clarify, and correct errors and ambiguities in existing methods and water monitoring regulations.
