Abstract

Pursuant to Section 404(c) of the Clean Water Act, the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 10 is requesting public comments on its proposed determination to restrict the use of certain waters in the North Fork Koktuli River, South Fork Koktuli River, and Upper Talarik Creek watersheds in southwest Alaska as disposal sites for dredged or fill material in connection with mining of the Pebble deposit, a copper-, gold-, and molybdenum-bearing ore body. EPA is also announcing a series of public hearings on this proposed 404(c) determination.
