The American Petroleum Institute (API) offers the following comments on the Coast Guard Notice with request for comments [Docket No. USCG-2014-1020], Guidance on Maritime Cybersecurity Standards. API is a national trade association that represents over 625 members involved in all aspects of the oil and natural gas (ONG) industry, including producers, refiners, suppliers, pipeline operators and marine transporters, as well as service and supply companies that support all segments of the ONG industry.
