The American Petroleum Institute (API) offers the following comments on the USCG published Federal Register notice soliciting comments during a 30-day period regarding the effective delay of TWIC reader requirements, USCG-2017-0711. API is a national trade association that represents more than 630 members involved in all aspects of the oil and natural gas industry, including producers, refiners, suppliers, pipeline operators and marine transporters, as well as service and supply companies that support all segments of the industry.
