Jul 26, 2010· Comment submitted by Thomas W. Curtis, Deputy Executive Director, American Water Works Association (AWWA)· EPA-HQ-OW-2010-0166-0005

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) appreciates the opportunity to submit comments as the Agency reviews the Radionuclides Rule pursuant to Section 610 of the Regulatory Flexibility Act. EPA has requested comments on five factors. These are: 1.The continued need for the rule 2.The nature of the complaints or comments received concerning the rule 3.The complexity of the rule 4.The extent to which the rule overlaps, duplicates, or conflicts with other Federal, State, or local government rules 5.The degree to which the technology, economic conditions or other factors have changed in the area affected by the rule AWWA's comments are structured to address each of the five factors. If there are any questions, please direct them to Kevin Morley at (202) 628-8303 or kmorley@awwa.org. Best regards, Thomas W. Curtis Deputy Executive Director AWWA Government Affairs
