The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing to amend the meat and poultry products inspection regulations to expand the circumstances under which FSIS will generically approve the labels of meat and poultry products. FSIS is also proposing to expand the types of guidance that describe generically approved claims and cease reviewing otherwise generically approved labels that are submitted to FSIS for review.
