Abstract

EPA is working on a Rulemaking to consider revisions to the effluent limitations guidelines and potential addition of pretreatment standards for the Meat and Poultry Products (MPP) point source category. EPA is considering the addition of nutrient limits, revision of current limits, and expansion of the Rule to include additional facilities that were previously excluded from the Rule. This docket includes public information and data regarding the MPP industry that EPA has collected and is collecting through the Rulemaking. Throughout the Rulemaking process, EPA will be requesting public comment and will be soliciting additional information and data about the MPP industry to inform possible revisions to the wastewater discharge standards applicable to the MPP point source category.
