Abstract

This proposed rule would identify opportunities for BOEM to clarify its renewable energy regulations. The regulatory revisions would facilitate safe and environmentally sound renewable energy production in offshore waters and help meet commitments of Executive Order 14008, "Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.” This proposed rule would facilitate offshore renewable energy development in a manner that is safe, environmentally sound, and provides fair return to U.S. taxpayers.
