Abstract
Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for an Environmental Assessment (EA) that identified and analyzed potential environmental effects of conducting alternative strategies to reduce damage caused by mammals in Washington. Based on the analyses contained in the final EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact upon the quality of the human environment. The proposed action alternative evaluated an integrated methods approach to reduce damage when WS receives a request for assistance. WS signed the Decision and FONSI on April 7, 2021 selecting the proposed action alternative.
