I support the ban on ALL lead products NOT juts fishing related, most states have already taken such action on their own.

This request is a demonstration of the nature of how far left of center a certain class of self proclaimed elite "protectionist" have gone. This rule if enacted would not only cost this Nation jobs it will be another law that will be seen as only a way the ruling class can levy fines against the commoners. This law will foster great resentment and many people will have a sense of duty to not obey. This law will not only be hard to enforce it will use resources that should be used in a more fiscally responsible fashion. If enacted it would do great harm to the political system as it will move the country closer to a one party system. If enacted most Democrats will either resign or be voted out of office as this yoke of stupidity will be hung around the Democratic Party. OK enough of that and now on to the science. As pointed out lead has been used since the Roman Empire and there is no scientific proof it has done the environment harm. Birds have more deaths from airplanes and cars that any contamination from lead. The science as the sponsors have presented are more fraudulent than the science used to prop up "man made and caused" climate change.
