Abstract
EPA is updating the cadmium aquatic life ambient water quality criteria in accordance with Section 304(a) of the Clean Water Act to periodically revise Ambient Water Quality Criteria in order to reflect the latest scientific knowledge. The revisions in this update are based primarily on data that have become available since 2001, when the cadmium aquatic life criteria document was last updated.
