Abstract
The Environmental Protection Agency is announcing receipt of a research permit application from a researcher at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) pursuant to the Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act (MPRSA) for the transportation and disposition of materials into the ocean as part of the second phase of an ocean alkalinity enhancement research study (LOC-NESS Project). Phase 2 of the research study is proposed for an offshore location in Wilkinson Basin, within the Gulf of Maine. This docket will be periodically updated to include pertinent information related to the proposed and final determination.
