Attached please find Environmental Defense Funds comments on the proposed TSCA Section 8(a) reporting and recordkeeping requirement rule for nanoscale materials. Also attached are five peer-reviewed journal articles, referred to in our comments, that resulted from a project undertaken by the ILSI Research Foundation (coauthored by FDA scientists). The articles highlight data gaps with regards to ingestion of nanoscale materials that could be relevant to TSCA applications, as well as food-related applications, of nanoscale materials.
