What Experimental Aircraft Association filed (3)

Oct 26, 2010· Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)· FAA-2010-0831-0086

EAA is submitting the attached comments to the FAA proposed Through-the-Fence policy document as stated in DOT Docket No. FAA-2010-0831. Randy Hansen EAA Government Relations Director

Sep 9, 2010· Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)· FAA-2010-0831-0003

EAA firmly believes that the use of the term "[INSERT DATE OF PUBLICATION]" on pages 31 (Policy On Existing Through-the-Fence Access to Airports from A Residential Property) through page 52 should be changed to "[INSERT EFFECTIVE DATE OF PUBLICATION]." The use of "effective date of publication" is the better choice of the terminology. A prime example is the recently released FAA Order 8130.2G by AIR-200. This document was "published" on August 31, 2010 with an "effective" date of April 16, 2011 (paragraph 105 of this Order). A policy document may be issued and effective the same date or in the example above, several months may separate these two dates. Therefore, EAA strongly recommends changing all such date references to "effective date of publication." Randy Hansen EAA Government Relations Director
