The Fertilizer Institute ("TFI") writes to provide notice of its intent to testify at the October 25th, 2023 hearing published in the Federal Register on September 26th, 2023 (FR Doc. 2023–20840 Filed 9–25–23) arising from the March 29th, 2023 Notice of Proposal Rulemaking regarding the reinstated Superfund chemical excise taxes (the "SCET"). Please see attached TFI's cursory outline of topics for discussion. TFI will testify in person.

Abstract

This document contains proposed regulations relating to the excise taxes imposed on certain chemicals and certain imported substances, effective July 1, 2022. Such taxes are known as the Superfund chemical taxes.
