There are numerous model series designations absent from the engine applicability list, to wit: AIO-360 IO-360 IVO-360 LHIO-360 LIO-360 LTO-360 TIO-360 TO-360 VO-360 HIO-540 IGO-540 IGSO-540 IO-360 IVO-540 O-540 TIO-360 TIVO-540 TVO-540 VO-540 The reader is left to wonder whether this is an oversight in the document or whether it has been determined that the defective parts are not installed in these engine series models. A review of the PMA supplement indicates that the eligibility information on the supplement was probably used to determine the model listing which clarifies the intent of the AD. However, the general public does not have access to this information. We request a statement in the AD reflecting that the engine model applicability list is complete and that other engines of the same displacement series are not affected. 2. There is a typographical error in Table 1 where an 0-360 (first character a zero) engine is specified. The correct designation is O-360 (first character the letter O). This seemingly trivial error can result in more substantive problems since computer searches for O-360 will not find 0-360 and compliance may therefore be compromised. 3. There are several instances where the word "it's" is used as a possessive pronoun. "It's" is a contraction for "It is" and not a possessive pronoun. (See any 8th grade English grammar book). The proper possessive pronoun is "its" (without the apostrophe). 4, Generally speaking, ECi part numbers do not have a space between the leading AEL and the numeric portion of the part number, e.g. AEL11750. The manufacturer's catalog at page 9 lists the part number as AEL11750 as does PMA supplement 39. Again, computer searches looking for "AEL11750" will generally not find "AEL 11750".
