Comment on Docket No. FAA-2006-24101; Directorate Identifier 2005-NM-103-AD RIN 2120-AA64 There are a number of errors in the applicable aircraft table that may impede complete understanding of the proposed regulatory action that could result in lack of compliance. While the information in the table is clearly marked as advisory rather than regulatory, there is also a general principle of law that states when a person chooses to speak they must do so wisely and accurately. Inaccurate information in the table may thus lead to a defense against compliance that might compromise aviation safety. 1. The 500A and 695A were Aero Commanders about 20 years ago, but the type certificates are now owned by, and the aircraft correctly referred to, as Twin Commanders. 2. The type certificates for the Challengers 600, 600 series, and 601 are owned by Bombardier which is not mentioned in the proposed action. 3. The DeHavilland (sic) DHC-6 parenthetical reference to BAE and Hawker Siddeley is incorrect. The de Havilland DHC-6 was originally developed by de Havilland of Canada (not de Havilland of England) and the type certificate is presently owned by Bombardier Aerospace. BAE and Hawker Siddeley have never had anything to do with this aircraft. 4. The SA227 may have been a Swearingen some 30 years ago (Before my time), but the type certificate is currently owned by M7 Aerospace LP after being owned by Fairchild for many years. 5. Why Swearingen appears after the Piper PA31-T2 (sic) reference is a mystery. (Correct designation is PA-31T2.) The type certificate owner is the New Piper Company. 6 We infer the reference to Sabreliner 60 should correctly be Sabreliner NA-265-60. 7. We infer the reference to Jetstream 31 should correctly be Jetstream Series 3101. 8. The "Mitsubishi MU-300" type certificate is owned by Raytheon, not Mitsubishi. (A14SW) 9. Some minor errors: Lear is an electronics firm; Learjet is an aircraft company owned by Bombardier Aerospace. Baron is spelled with one R, not two. There does not appear to be a Raytheon King Air E910. Jack Buster Aviation Data Research
