Comment on [Docket No. FAA-2006-25983; Directorate Identifier 2006-SW-11-AD] RIN 2120-AA64 The Modification and Replacement Parts Association (MARPA) does not object to TC holder provided modification kits provided at no cost to operators. Such action removes any incentive for the development of alternative parts under 14 CFR § 21.303. We do note the proposed cost impact of $61,650 per helicopter seems excessive; indeed, about 30 times the cost calculated using the parameters provided in the proposed regulatory action.
