On behalf of the National Association of Home Builders of the United States (NAHB), we are pleased to submit these comments in response to the the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) draft revision to the risk determination for the Cyclic Aliphatic Bromide Cluster (HBCD) risk evaluation issued under the Toxic Substances Control Act, which was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 29, 2021 (86 Fed. Reg. 74,082). As interested stakeholders in this regulatory activity, NAHB urges EPA to consider the following recommendations as it proceeds with its final risk evaluation and potential risk mitigation proposal for HBCD. Please see the attached comments.

Abstract

The TSCA Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals (SACC) will review and comment on the EPA risk evaluation for Cyclic Aliphatic Bromide Cluster (HBCD).
