On behalf of the 220,000 member firms of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), I would like to submit comments on the above-referenced notice of August 25, 2005, announcing the proposed 50th percentile Fair Market Rent (FMR) for the Housing Choice Voucher, Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy Program and certain other HUD programs. NAHB strongly supports the Husing Choice Voucher program, which provides rental assistance to over two million very-low income househulds who live in privately owned housing.
