On behalf of the more than 140,000 members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), I am pleased to submit these comments on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Request for information (RFI) on Reinforced Concrete in Construction that was noticed in the Federal Register on March 29, 2012 (77 Federal Register 18973-18984). As an interested stakeholder in this regulatory activity, NAHB is concerned that changes to Concrete and Masonry Construction standard (29 CFR 1926 – Subpart Q) may have a substantial impact on regulated employers, including home builders and impact the ability of our members to provide affordable housing in the country and push homeownership beyond the reach of thousands of Americans. See attached comment letter.
