The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the nation's largest manufacturing association, representing manufacturers in every industrial sector in all 50 states, submits the attached comments (and supplemental studies) in response to the request by the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards for information to assist the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee's review of the national ambient air quality standards.

Abstract

This docket is open for obtaining information related to section 109(d)(2)(C)(iv) of the Clean Air Act. The EPA is interested in obtaining all relevant information, with a particular emphasis on research studies that have been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal that assess the potential adverse impacts of various strategies for attainment and maintenance of NAAQS.
