The National Association of Manufacturers appreciates the opportunity to comment on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's proposed regulation on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions standards for certain power plants (2023 EGU GHG Proposed Rule). The NAM is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing manufacturers of all sizes and in every industrial sector across all 50 states. Manufacturing employs 13 million men and women in the United States, contributes $2.91 trillion to the economy annually and accounts for 55% of private-sector research and development. The NAM advocates for a policy agenda that helps manufacturers compete in the global economy and create jobs across the United States.
