Abstract

The FIFRA SAP will meet on October 29, 2013 to consider and review the scientific issues associated with the use of RNAi gene silencing technology for pesticidal purposes. In particular, the EPA is seeking advice on evaluating the general uncertainties concerning the pesticidal use of dsRNAs, including the potential fate of dsRNA’s engineered into plants or other organisms in the environment and any avenues through which they may present risk to human health and/or the environment.
