NFIB (Nat'l Fed'n of Independent Business) comment letter of August 21, 2021, in response to EPA and USACE "Notice of Public Meetings Regarding 'Waters of the United States;' Establishment of a Public Docket; Request for Recommendations," Docket EPA-HQ-OW-2021-0328, 86 Fed. Reg. 41911 (August 4, 2021), is attached.
In accordance with a Presidential directive, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of the Army (Army) are reconsidering and replacing the Navigable Waters Protection Rule defining the term “waters of the United States.” This docket will be associated with a non-regulatory preproposal notice announcing a series of public listening sessions and soliciting written feedback from the public.
