National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) comment letter of July 21, 2025, in response to Labor/OSHA notice of proposed rulemaking titled "Construction Illumination," Docket OSHA-2025-0040, 90 Fed. Reg. 28366 (July 1, 2025), is attached.

Abstract

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is proposing to remove from the Code of Federal Regulations its Construction Illumination Standards (29 CFR 1926.26; 1926.56) (Docket No.). The standards do not substantially reduce a significant risk to workers. This is a deregulatory action per Executive Order 14192, “Unleashing Prosperity Through Deregulation” (90 FR 9065, Feb. 6, 2025).
