Attached, please find a request for an extension of time from the National Pork Producers Council to the the Agriculture Marketing Services' (AMS) notice regarding Document Number AMS-DA-16-0101 published on page 84510 of the Federal Register/Volume 81, No. 226 on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, titled "Provisions for Removing Commodity Research and Promotion Board Members and Staff." A fifteen day comment period, for a proposal released on Thanksgiving eve is wholly insufficient and fails to provide a meaningful opportunity for comment and we respectfully request an extension of the comment period until January 23, 2017.
